Robert specialises in building condition surveys, defects analysis, dilapidations and party wall matters. He has considerable experience in the litigation, mediation and arbitration of property related disputes. He is also experienced in monitoring developments under construction on behalf of funding bodies, investors and end users.
Robert’s experience spans over 35 years and all sectors of the property market including shopping centres, mixed use and leisure schemes, warehousing and distribution facilities, offices and residential premises.
Robert studied building and construction management at Preston and Sheffield before working for seven years in local government. In 1985 he joined Amos Broome Associates, a multi-disciplinary building consultancy where he became Associate Director. In 1987 he moved to Thomas Deal & Partners (later Teacher Marks Deal), becoming head of survey and professional work.
In 1991 he co-founded tmd Building Consultancy with Neil Sennett.
