tmd was instructed by Oxford University Estates Services to undertake a review of its planned maintenance programmes for 220 buildings, to inform the development of the University’s future estate management strategy. The review included 37 Listed buildings, including the Bodleian Library and the Ashmolean Museum.

We analysed of over 1 million items of data in order to assess the extent of backlog maintenance requirements and schedule future annual repair and maintenance costs over 3 and 20 year periods, with the planned maintenance costs for the Listed buildings being assessed over 100 years. Costs were also assessed for new Estate buildings under construction or in the design phase.
